Last March – at a NMCA Race in Bradenton, Florida – Geoff Stunkard from Mopar Action asked if I would allow him to do a Photo Shoot for his magazine. About 15 years earlier, he’d done a feature on my 16-year-old son racing a 72 Demon in NMCA’s Nostalgia Muscle Car Class. Anyway, I agreed (thrilled) to it and polished on it in between Qualifying Rounds. After my last round early Saturday evening and we set the Car up at the Top of the track on the return road and waited for the last of the Classes to finish their Qualifying. Qualifying was running about 2 hours late and we were losing the sun – so we pulled the trigger and started before they finished. I moved the car around while he moved his tall ladder around while stopping for cars gathering their sheets and waiting for their tow.

Geoff Stunkard is a Pro at photographing cars is Ash light. It took a full year to hit the magazine, but the April 2022 Mopar Action Magazine is starting to hit mailboxes.
