In the NSSRacing forums (https://nssracing.com/forums) there is a discussion with updates on the NMCA race going on in Martin, Michigan. The entire forum is set up to the one best place to go for all things NSS Racing. This “Live At” discussion is a place to post news, information, updates and photos. It serves three purposes: The first is for racers at the track to view schedule changes, weather updates, qualifying, ladders, who broke, and track & pit photos. The second for fans to stay up to date. Finally, for NSS Racers who never attended the event to see what they’ve been missing out on, and maybe grow the class at the next event.

It only takes a couple minutes to register to post. The site is 100% secure with a legit SSL certificate and I laced no ads or annoying popups. I pay all of the expenses and generate no revenue because I love the Class and would like to see more new blood come in than the age attrition is taking out.

I will never give, sell, rent, lease or otherwise give up any of your information to anyone short of a court order. I bought the very best and most secure board software, put in on a fast server with a powerful firewall to ensure your limited logon information is locked up tighter than Fort Knox. The application is also smart phone friendly. Take a photo on your phone and upload it to a post. Its no more difficult to use than Facebook, but better organized, no spam and more secure.

Please, take a few minutes to view the forum to see how you quickly put you can put your finger on the info your looking for and avoid what you don’t need. There is a NSS Racing related Classified ads section, a vendor Rollodex, a section for each of the larger organizations, technical white papers, questions and answers for general drag cars or Make Specific.

Please, if you’re a NSS Racer of fan – please check out the forums and have it as one of your browser’s open tabs. The only thing missing is a couple of Leaders to jump in and participate so the Followers will soon jump in too. In the case of NSS Racing, a much better way is a forum, which is organized with categories. In the Forums at NSSRacing.com/Forums there are separate categories for each of the Sanctioning Body (NMCA, Victory, NSS Bash, TDRA, True NSS…), Technical Q&A by make, classified ads, traveling to track discussions and much more.

Those Race Masters of the various organizations are encouraged to list their events in the Forum’s calendar – and will certainly help your event grow.

Posting a “Live At” discussion of an event let’s the racers know things such as what gate to enter and when, where you’ll be pitting, schedules, qualifying, the Ladder, photos, round updates and a recap after the race. The racer has one place to check on their smart phone, and they and fans are kept updated if racers at the event contribute information/photos. Racers will see that your event is the real deal and might attend the next one.

If we can get the Race Masters and other Leaders to participate with event updates, the rest of the racers will soon follow. I ask NSS Racers to please help me get this thing rolling – as it will benefit all. Please be one of the Leaders and the Followers will come.

There are no fees or advertising. I’m happily paying full freight to bring this to all NSS Racers with no other goal than to grow the class.

As tomorrow will be thrashing to disassemble the Texas Thug

After cleaning off all of the stuff that had been sitting on my transmission table, I washed it, sanded, washed again and hit with a couple coats of self etching primer – before a couple coats of paint.

Did some cleaning up of the Shop.

And got ready for Dallas to come help yank the drivetrain out of the Thug Tomorrow.

I’ve ordered the fiberglass fenders and bumper from Stinger and a radiator from Afco.

I’m still trying to gather the parts in the photo above.

There is a place for those who race in the Index classes. There a place for those running in various organizations for these indexes. There is a place to ask your technical questions, and a place for helpful Racers with experience to answer those questions. There’s a place to find real time updates of races and their recaps. There is a place where you can buy and sell related cars and parts – or post a want or need. There is a place that has all of these class races on monthly calendars. There is a place where your race team can have its own Race Blog, which can be public. private or invited only.

The single goal of nssracing’s magazine and forums is to help grow the sport by helping those currently racing, and to educate those who might consider racing in the class.

The below is a couple of frames from a video of my wreck last Friday at Orlando Speed World.

I’m typically, a high 3-second 330′, but still fast enough to be in front of Corky

Maybe 150-200′ out I the Oil Filter Seal pushed out, but I never saw the smoke.

Suddenly, I heard a loud noise from the rear and the car made a hard right just as Corky Bumpus was passing me in the Left lane. I lifted, but that’s all I could do as the Passenger side of the AR was in the air and I was looking out the window at the pavement. I thought I’d lost the Driver’s slick.

I thought I was going to roll and was expecting to eat glass.

As you can see from the above frames, I’d beat Corky to the 330′ and was going as fast as him sideways. The right side came back down and the front of the car was just about to hit the wall. I yanked the wheel left and the car hit the wall in the right corner at about the 450′ down track.

The car bounced off the wall and the right side came up again.

I came to a stop just as Corky crossed the 660′.
